Henk van der Schyf is a booker, promoter, venue owner, restaurateur, and there are probably quite a few titles I’m leaving out. Point is: the man keeps busy. He’s been hella instrumental behind the scenes of SA’s music scene, first through the legendary Hotbox Studios (They never recorded a single song but knew how to throw a party) and now through festivals like Park Acoustics and Mieliepop.
