Durban music-lovers turned out in their masses to pack out The Werehouse as this prestigious DJ battle. With last year’s winner, Ryan The DJ, and 2 of this year’s contestants being from Durban, the crowd were eager to keep the title in the seaside underground music paradise.
Ryan The DJ showed why he was the 2017 champ with a fun opening set to an already packed venue on a rainy Thursday night. He was followed by DJ Hedspin, the 2011 3Style World Champion, who put on a clinic. Between the 2 of them, the bar was set and the 6 contestants knew what level they had to reach to take the title.”
